The Chapter aims to ensure that the County’s natural beauty is preserved, our streams and wetlands are protected, property values and quality of life are enhanced, and wildlife habitats are preserved. The policies and actions in the Environment Chapter advance these and other important environmental goals. The Chapter covers a range of topics, including stormwater standards, impervious surfaces, tree save areas, low impact development, limits to clearing and grading, streams and wetlands, sewer systems, energy conservation, land conservation and more. The Planning Commission wants to hear what’s important to you! Please join the Planning Commission for one or all three public meetings to discuss changes to the Environment Chapter (click here for a schedule). We also appreciate your written input, which can be e-mailed to PCFeedback@pwcgov.org.
Input for the Environment Chapter will be posted on this Web page as it becomes available (click here to see comments received to date), along with the draft proposal and other information relevant to this update. Drafts
